Last Round Robin day for Group A!
They're nice enough to hang up the practice schedule in the fanzone in the mornings, so I headed straight back in to the arena to see Djokovic practicing.

My seat this time was a bit further away and in the corner, but still a very nice view. First doubles: Melzer/Petzschner d Lindstedt/Tecau 6-3 6-4
I wasn't really favouring anyone in the match. It was nice to see M/P atleast got one win in their group. And they're a pretty touchy-feely doubles pair ;)

I'm not the biggest Djokovic fan, but I sure think he's an okay guy who can definitely pull out some good tennis. But I'll be honest up front and say it was more my dislike of Tipsarevic that had me rooting for Novak in the next match: Tipsarevic d Djokovic 3-6 6-3 6-3
Douchebag he may be, but I have to admit Tipsy played really, really well. Novak was very good in flashes too and combined this match had some of the best tennis I've seen so far this tourny in singles. As much as Tipsy puts me off with his attitude off the court and his comedic rate of retirements, playing like that I can see he's a top10 player.
His post match speech seemed genuinely emotional and it was hard not to feel for him in that moment. There, I said it.

Swiftly moving on...
I had seen on the schedule Ferrer would be practicing on CC before the evening session, so I tried to make my way back there as soon as i could. Unfortunately it took them an exeptional long time to clear the arena after the afternoon session, so they let the evening ticket holders in pretty late.
I still managed to catch a little bit of Ferrer practice action!

By now I had learned which exit the practice players use, so i had positioned myself accordingly. Ofcourse Ferru had to be the odd one out and use another exit ::rolleyes:: Luckily, he was held up there doing some TV interview, so I had time to run all thw ay around the arena to the other exit and get him to scribble my flag *yayformetwice*

(okay it's hard to see on this pic but there is definitely a D in there and who cares ferru touched my flag so I'm happy)
Last of the RR matches. First: Bhupati/Peas d Bryans 6-4 6-2
I was rooting for the Bryans and thoroughly out of luck doing so, cos B/P were on friggin fire. As hard as it is to say, B/P played amazing and the Bs were blown off the court.

Then it was showtime ;)

After that, sadly, Berdych d 'heartbreaker' Ferrer 3-6 7-5 6-1
I didn't think he'd win. Just like i didn't think he would win against Murray or win against Djokovic. As a Ferru fan I know I've been spoiled already this tournament. But that first set and half it looked like the insane might just happen. Even though Ferru played far from his best, Berdych managed to play *even worse*. If only it could have lasted a few more games...
But in the end, Berdych did get his senses back together and the rest was....pretty painful (and I'm including Ferru's change into that shocking pink shirt in that). My mood wasn't helped by the fact i was stuck sitting next to some very vocal & drunk Berdych fans :(

So that means it's Federer for Ferru today....::cliffing myself::
Bonus for today: A little Ferru ♥
